Capital gains query: bonus from MF to be included in cost?
Suppose, we have the following ledger for a mutual fund (liquid fund)
MAR 1, 2013: Bought 100 units for 10Rs/unit. Total = 1000Rs
Mar 23,2013: Bonus of 10 units given by AMC at 10Rs/unit. Total value = 100Rs
Apr 30,2013: Sold 110 units at 8.2Rs/unit. Total = 900Rs
Should the bonus amount be included in the cost of acquisition?
If it is included, then
CG = 900 - (1000 + 100) = -200
If it is not included, then
CG = 900 - 1000 = -100

My Trading Strategy

Thanks for reading my post. I need experts help here.
Since, India is on bullish mode, I planned to invest in Niftybees during Nifty Corrections. Extent of the nifty correction can be read using Fibonacci Retracement indicator. Profit can be seen during Nifty Peaking. Can someone backtest my strategy & say whether it is wise?

Free Technical Analysis Software
Hi everyone,
i wanted to ask others about Free Technical Analysis Software.
It should have all basic indicators like MACD,Force index,ADX,RSI etc with ability to change parameters and create new indicators.
Ability to scan/screen watchlist based on user defines indicator parameters is vital to develop and use any trading system.
Currently i use many different website and software yet unable to get desired output.
AFL,realtime data,backtesting etc are not important .
Any advice?

Macd crossover above and below zero line afl
Hai Seniors and experts
Can any coder help to make AFL in which --
when MACD signal line crosses zero line from below it turns into bright green
and also a up bright green arrow is shown as buy signal .
Similarly when MACD signal line crosses zero line from above it turns in to red and also a down red arrow is shown as sell signal .
That will be a great help .

i have excel sheet in which live market price ll be updated from nest ....
from which i need to take first 15 min open , high , low and close values in separate column or next sheet ...
same way i need to plot 30 min , 1 hr OHLC in next sheet ....

In the first instance I extend my Good Wishes to all the members as this is my first posting on this site.
I have been going through this site since, may be three or four days, and found the members are good natured and much obliging. This has prompted me to become a member to be one among you.
I have read that trial version of Amibroker is being used by one of the members since three months. Does it still work with all the features that are essential for trading? What are the limitations of that software after the expiry of the trial period? Please let me know.
