Intraday recovery proved short lived as weakness in Asian stocks pulled Indian stocks lower again in mid-morning trade. Index heavyweight Reliance Industries (RIL) extended intraday fall. Pharma major Cipla dropped after the company declared weak Q4 result.
The market breadth, indicating the overall health of the market was weak. The BSE Sensex was down by 9.41 points or 0.11 % at 2013 8.23& The CNX Nifty was lower by 6.85 points or 0.11 % at 6097.45. The BSE MIDCAP & SMALL CAP Indices were also down by 19.56 & 19.53 points respectively.
