Hello, I am a newbie

Hi friends,
Although i have ben investing in stocks moderately for quite a few years but i have never been an active trader . I mostly picked up blue chip stocks on the advise of friends and market news only. I normally buy the stock and sit over it, hardly booking profits.
I now wish to change this and want to become active trader, want to pick stocks whose potential is yet to exploited and look forward to some advise on this.
