Equity New certs - Help needed

Hi All,

Glad to be on board Traderji!

My dad gave me some old shares that he wants in his sharekhan acc.
These are quite old.

Have a couple of queries about it

1) TATA Steel has issued "Cumulative Convertible Preference Share certificate"
This is for 137 shares.
Sharekhan rejected this saying "preferred shares cannot be in demat"

How can these shares be converted into normal shares ?

2) I have old shares of Industrial bank..........
Now this company is known as ICICI :-)
How do I convert those old shares to new format shares ?
